About Us
Pennington Family Farms was started in 1949 when John & Lucy Pennington bought the very land where it stands today. Their son, Donald, and his sister Debbie (now Colson) were both raised and worked here while it was a tobacco and beef farm. Today, Donald and his wife, Terri, run a Greenhouse, Floral Shop and U-Pick Vegetable Farm on the land.

Alpine Hills Dairy Farm was established in 1947 in Corinth, KY by Papaw Joe Colson when he made the trip to Illinois to purchase his first few Brown Swiss Cows. The farm is now relocated to Dry Ridge and owned by his son, Dean, and Dean's wife, Debbie. Dean and Debbie's sons, Daniel and Matthew (along with his wife, Shelley) also actively work on the dairy farm. Today, they milk 55 Brown Swiss cows two times a day - 365 days a year!
