​​​Q. How much does the tour cost?
A. We offer 3-4 hour group tours for $7 per person. There is a $150 minimum per group.
Q. Is there a deposit required?
A. Yes, we require a $25 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration. We can accept the deposit payment over the phone via credit card. If deposit is paid by check, we must receive it within 7 days of the date you schedule.
Q. How many tour groups do you host at a time?
A. Unlike many other pumpkin farms, when you are here for your tour, you are ALMOST ALWAYS the only people here! Teachers often tell us this is a huge benefit to keeping track of all their students. This year, we don't even open to the public until 3:00pm in the afternoon when tour groups are already gone.
Q. What should we wear?
A. Remember, this is a farm, don't wear your best clothes or shoes and please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. :)

Q. What age groups can come on a tour?
A. While our tours are geared toward elementary age students, people of all ages are welcome and sure to enjoy!
Q. Do you have a public restroom?
A. Yes. We have restrooms available at our facilities.
Q. Can I bring my family and friends on a private tour?
A. Yes. Private tours are available, as long as the minimum of $150 is met. All tours must be scheduled in advance. If you are just looking for a spot to hang out with your friends and family, have a birthday party, etc. you should check out our Parties page. Our Picnic Shelter can be rented for just $30!
Q. How long is the tour?
A. Our educational tours last between 3 and 4 hours depending on group size.
Q. What will we learn about on our tour?
A. We enjoy sharing our love for cows and dairy farming with you! We explain how milk gets from our farm to the grocery store and share about our daily life on the farm. Also learn about what cows eat, how much milk they produce each day, and get some hands-on experiences such as bottle feeding a baby calf!
Q. Will we get to pet some animals?
A. Yes, there will be plenty of opportunities for petting farm animals between our petting zoo and calf nursery areas!
Q. Can we eat lunch there?
A. Yes, most tour groups do eat lunch here in our Picnic Shelter. Please bring your own sack lunches. 

​​Q. What are your hours?
A. This year we are open from September 8th - October 31st. Mon - Thurs: 4:00pm - 7:00pm,  Friday: 2pm - 4pm, Saturday: 10:00am - 7:00pm, and Sunday: 12:00pm - 5:00pm. We will also be starting a special night time event called Country Nights this fall which will be open from Sept 28th - October 27, Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm - 10pm.
Q. When can we take a hayride?
A. This fall we will be offering 25 minute hayrides for $4 each on Friday evenings after 5pm, Saturdays and Sundays - weather permitting.
Q. Is everything free?
A. Admission into our fall festival is free and includes many activities. Pumpkins ($1-$10), Hayrides ($4), barrel train rides ($2.50), large corn maze ($5), Turbo slide ($2 all day), U-Pick Pumpkin Patch & Hayride ($10), Extreme Launcher (5 shots for $2), Chunkin' Pumpkin ($1 per shot), and Gift Shop items and food are available for purchase.
Q. Do you sell Indian Corn, Straw, and Corn Shocks?
A. Yes! We sell Indian Corn for $3 a bundle, Straw bales for $7 each, and Corn Shock bundles for $5 each.
Q. What is there to do?
A. Our desire is to create an environment of family fun! We have a kiddie corn maze, 4 Acre Corn Maze, petting zoo, corn box, Hay Pyramid, Sand Tunnels, play area, hayrides, corn hole, barrel train rides, Turbo Slide, Extreme Launcher and Picnic Shelter available for your enjoyment.
Q. Can I have a party there?
A. Yes! You can rent a spot in our Picnic Shelter for $30 for 2 hours. Please see our Parties page for more details.
Q. Can we buy food there?
A. We have chips, drinks, homemade fudge, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, snacks, and candy for sale in our Gift Shop. (Hot food items guaranteed on weekends only.)
Q. How much do your pumpkins cost?
A. Our pumpkins range in price from $1 - $10 depending on size. We have giant pumpkins up to $25.

Questions About Our Dairy Farm:

Q. How many cows do you have?
A. We are milking approximately 55 cows 2x a day, 365 days a year, but we also have around 60 more head of dairy cattle on our farm that are not old enough to be milked yet. Also, we have 60 Black Angus cow/calf pairs. They keep us busy!
Q. What kind of cows do you have?
A. Most of our dairy cows are Brown Swiss, but we also have a number of Holsteins (black and white which is the most popular breed in the US.) 
Q. Are you a family farm?
A. Yes we are! Papaw Joe Colson started the farm in 1947. It is now owned by his son, Dean, and Dean's wife, Debbie. 
Q. How big is your farm?
A. Our farm is 250 acres, but we also rent other land in the area to raise corn and hay for our cows and to use as pasture. 
Q. Where does your cows' milk go?
A. Our milk is currently being sold to the Flav-o-rich plant in Winchester, KY! ​​​​
